Kristen was born in Pittsburgh and grew up in Sidney, Ohio. She attended Miami University for 2 yrs and transferred to Ohio Dominican University and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science.
Always having a proficiency and obsession with technology, she eventually ended up changing fields – prior to joining Avrem, she spent 11 1/2 years wearing various hats for a medium-sized IT Provider in Minnesota.
Kristen adores reading, music and movies, and is an prolific knitter and cross-stitcher. She belongs to a local sampler Guild and has created and maintains their website/email newsletter. She has a special passion for blackwork (a sister craft to cross stitching). When not working, she often has a needle in hand and her trusty sidekick Logan (the Siamese cat) by her side vying for her attention.
Kristen’s varied roles at previous jobs provide excellent experience for her new roles at Avrem – with a natural affinity for process improvement, she’s really looking forward to helping Avrem grow and become as efficient as possible!
